Nuweiba is a small town located 200 km north of Sharm el Sheikh, about 75 km from the Egyptian-Israeli border. It's fertile coastal area with many water wells stretches almost up to the town of Taba and it is sandwitched between the Sinai mountains and the tranquil blue sea of the Gulf of Aqaba. This mainly camp-based traveler attracts travelers who want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Nuweiba has some diving and snorkeling spots but its really the perfect starting point for desert safari's inside the Taba Protectorate.

Little happens along this part of Sinai's coastline, except sun and calm waves and Bedouin life. Quiet and beautiful, this area is paradise for anyone willing to enjoy a peaceful holiday.

This small sea-side hotel in Tarabin Village, a seaside Bedouin settlement 2 km north of Nuweiba City, is simple, clean, serves good food and provides friendly service to their guests. The Bedouin owner and manager works here since the 1980's. It's located on the 'boulevard'. The rooms have air-conditioning and a private bathroom/shower, there is a restaurant, a terrace and a pool table.

It's the perfect place to hang out in the shade or sun, to dive, snorkel, take a jeep or camel trip, go hiking, take a stroll along the Gulf of Aqaba, listen to Bedouin music and to meet new friends who have all the time in the world.

The north of Nuweiba is well known for its many Bedouin-style camps along the Aqaba coast, which were a popular getaway for Israeli hippies in the eighties and more recently have been discovered by Egyptian city folks.

At the far north we work with a Bedouin owner and manager who is an attentive host, a great cook and if he is not busy with his horse, you can persuade him to play one of the traditional instruments to introduce you to Bedouin music. His camp offers 7 wooden cabins with sea view and a private shaded sit. There's a Bedouin tent and arisha, a restaurant and the showers and toilets are in a separate building.
