Sharm el Sheikh is a sun-sea-beach resort built along 60 kilometres coastline on the Red Sea at the most southern tip of the Sinai. There is little to no city high rise and visitors used to come specially for the terrific scuba in the crystal clear water of the Red Sea full of coral and colorful fish and other marine life, but today many visitors just come for the beach, sun and fun, beach and the night life. Those who love to shop, can shop until they drop in the many shopping malls or at the 'Old Market' where there are still many original Arabic bazaars.

Most hotels are on offer as package tours (charter flight + hotel) and many visitors opt for all-inclusive, but Sharm el Sheikh has great restaurants with lots of choice, so make sure to visit these while you are in Sharm el Sheikh.
